We are developing our strategic plan, a collaborative strategy that will shape Caledon for the next 12 years. Help us create a strategic plan made by Caledon, for Caledon! Together we can build a vision for Caledon that celebrates what we love while embracing our growth.
Caledon’s strategic plan will build on current success and guide Town priorities and actions to create a future-ready Caledon.
It will act on specific, measurable outcomes and help prioritize work in future business plans and budgets.
We want you to be part of the planning process. The Town has been gathering public input that informs the strategic plan since 2022, including the 2023 Budget Survey, Official Plan engagement and discussions with community stakeholders.

Through the James Dick Pitt any gravel trucks travelling either east on Charleston to go south on Hwy 10, or North on Hwy 10 go through the James Dick pit and meet up to Charleston.

In the new Official Plan because of the large aging community, there should be a specific designation on lands reflecting various options available to seniors, from independent living to various forms of assisted living. These designations should be close to existing services and to easy access to public transportation. An example for a “senior’s hub” would be in the proximity of Caledon’s City Hall or similar áreas having a cluster of services.

annmabout 1 year agoLess dump trucks and no more quarries!
Close all the quarries and support the local special environment that is Caledon. Too few people in Caledon realize how precious and special this area is.
0 comment1annmabout 1 year agoMore protections for natural land features
There should be joined conservation lands and Caledon could become a destination for environmental tourism. Birders, hikers, cyclists…. Need to invest in buying lands and setting them aside for this.
0 comment1cyrilabout 1 year agoHave an arch at the entrance of the village to allow people driving in to fully realize that they are entering a village
People might slow down as they are passing the arch as they would feel like they are entering a village rather than being on a highway.

We are not being ambitious enough. Need targets and requirements to move the needle on energy consumption and pollution. Make it a requirement for all new buildings to be LEED certified. Existing Building retrofits to get to Net Zero - partner with local businesses - determine how to get there and establish design/ manufacturing in Caledon to lead regional program.
